Dear Parents

This term is quickly drawing to a close.  We have ended off all our afternoon extra murals so next week there are no afternoon activities.  Aftercare is open so you are welcome to make use of this facility.  See below for contact details or look on the website for the link.

One important reminder for parents.  Can you please make sure that you have re-registered for MyBishopsLife.  Many parents are unable to access their portal but have forgotten that they need to re-register.  Please can I ask that you do this so that your information is accessible and not wait until report time as school would have already closed for the year and it then becomes problematic.

We have had the most amazing Readathon week.  Thanks to Mrs Osborne and her team for all the excitement.  Next week the Grade 1 and 2 boys need to bring their forms back (please total them yourself before sending them back).   We were inspired by the wonderful presentation from Hooked on Books and even more excited by the presentation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in the theatre on Thursday.  Thank you also for the amazing response to the used book donation.  We have a considerable number of books to donate to Little Libraries.

Little Libraries (Facebook page) will be posting pictures of our blankets that have been knitted and distributed far and wide.  Go onto their page to get some heartfelt soul food.  Thank you to all those knitters who so selflessly gave of their time and effort to keep these little people warm.

After an amazing tag rugby tournament yesterday afternoon, our sport has finally come to an end.  Thank you to all those parents who helped coach, manage or just brought their boys along to play.  We really appreciate your involvement in tag and hope that we can continue to foster this relationship next season.  Grade R boys (who will be in Grade 1 in 2018) will be joining our tag rugby programme next season so there is much to look forward to.

All winter sport has now ended.  The summer sport timetable is on the website for you to have a look at and we will send out individual choice forms for you to complete next week.  Orientate yourself with the choices in the meantime so you are sure of what to select once the google form is sent out.  Please be reminded that the correct kit needs to be worn for each sport.

Please note that next term we will wear Summer uniforms.  Please ensure that new items are purchased well in advance and if any items are too small, you have a chance to purchase new ones.  May I remind you about the importance of labelling each individual item for it to be returned to you.  We still have so much lost property; brand new items which have no names.  The rule about wearing whites on the day you have sport will still apply, until further notice.

Any queries regarding aftercare or the holiday club should be directed to Catherine Rheeder, email:

Lost Property:

Luke Hoeks (Gr R - Mrs Syfret's class) has mislaid two of his tracksuit tops both of which disappeared last week. They are both clearly labelled with iron-on labels.  Both tops are size 4 - 5.  Please check whether your son has not inadvertently brought them home.

Stirling Maltz (Gr2 - Mrs Osborne's class) left his shoes beneath the jungle gym just outside the Art Room.  Please could you check whether your son may have inadvertently brought them home.

Wishing you all a fabulous long weekend with your families and friends.  Mr Brown, Mr Pearson and I are attending a conference this weekend and hope to return inspired and full of new enthusiasm.

Yours sincerely,
